SINCE THE MOVE

So, we've been in our new location since May 2003-- hoping, dreaming, planning, and
VBS 2003 -- Thanks Brandon Crossgates UMC praying.
We have continued in ministry (donations to mission organizations, Vacation Bible School, Youth Week, Bible Studies, Sunday School, God and Family Program, Blessing of the Animals, worship services for the community, confirmation class). We have continued growing (up to about 73 in attendance). We've continued working towards a new building (a local capital campaign that pledged $195,000 just within our church family). And we have continued reaching out for support from outside sources.
And, so, today Girwood Chapel is...
- A growing congregation.
- A United Methodist Church with a diverse congregation -- ministering to and with persons of many different denominations.
- A place where the mission is "To be a visible and vital Spiritual-life center in and for the community of Girdwood.
- A place of ministry.
- A place where children are not just our future...they are our present.
- A place where we strive to have the Bible read, proclaimed, and lived.
- A place where you are welcome.
